Example 1: About the Biodiverse Sustainability team

Meet the team

Hi there! My name is Faye and I will be looking at the potential therapeutic uses of nature connectivity and how it may be used to improve our health & well-being. I will do this by mainly focusing on outdoor recreational activities such as birdwatching and sustainable gardening to encourage nature in.

Hi my name is Nicola and I will be focusing on therapeutic use of the land. I will focus explicitly on benefits that participating in three key schemes including green gyms, care farming and eco-tourism have on health and wellbeing, linking this in with relevant OT literature and theory.

Hi my name is Sue and I will be focusing on Fish Biodiversity and Health. I will outline key relationships between fish biodiversity and health, explaining how this relates to occupational therapy practice.

Hello, my name is Abi and I will be looking at how urban spaces could be utilised for the development of community garden projects. As a part of this I will focus on how the health and wellbeing of society could be improved and maintained through contact with sustainable community gardens.

I’m Shoaib and I will be showing how we can reconnect people with nature by using technology. In doing this I will show you the impact technology has had on us and our connection with nature, the concept of marrying technology and nature, and how Occupational Therapy can help with this.
